The navvy road along the Bergen Railway: from Haugastøl over Finse and the high mountain to Myrdal, then the steep descent through the Flåm valley to Flåm. Most of it is gravel, and the highest stretch, around 1,300 m above sea level, is open with no shelter: the wind over the mountain decides how hard the day is. The descent from Myrdal has tight hairpins, and many riders walk them.
