About the route
From Svolvær west through Lofoten, over Gimsøya and Vestvågøy to Leknes, on over Flakstadøya and Moskenesøya past Reine to Å, where the road ends. The route crosses the sounds on bridges and through tunnels and runs open between mountain and sea, where the wind is funnelled and can change direction from one fjord to the next. In summer there is midnight sun, so the light rarely sets the limit.
